NEKTON-Cat-H includes all essential vitamins, a high amount of biotin, more than 23,000 µg and the essential amino acid arginine and the amino-sulfonic acid taurine. NEKTON-Cat-H utilizes its varied composition optimally for cat's bodies. NEKTON-Cat-H ensures a beautiful shiny coats and excellent fur development. NEKTON-Cat-H is highly-effective against rough, brittle coats, unnaturally light spots or skin changes. Even less known effects of biotin deficiency, such as weakness, diarrhea, stress and paralysis are successfully combated by NEKTON-Cat-H. No other vitamin compound should be administered whilst using NEKTON-Cat-H.
Cats are exclusively meat eaters (so-called "carnivores") and their feed requirements thus differ from dogs, which have developed in the direction of omnivores, and in a some aspects have a different metabolism.
The feed administered to the domestic cat by people does not often correspond to their natural diet and does not always take into consideration the needs of this regular meat eater. Cats covers their requirements for meat, fat, trace elements, vitamins and minerals almost naturally by consuming their whole prey, including the coat, entrails, stomach and intestines.
The features of cat nutrition lie in vitamins, proteins and minerals. This specialization of the metabolism can lead to a shortage of the essential dietary constituents, particularly under high stress (high performance requirements, shows, illnesses, etc.)
As a coenzyme, Biotin is involved in a variety of metabolic reactions and is responsible for normal growth, normal feed rate and for regulating procreation. Biotin is particularly important for keeping the skin healthy and for preserving the coat.
A biotin deficiency also appears as dried up saliva around the mouth and secretion around the eyes, as a flaky skin change, hair loss, general disorders, weakness, diarrhea and muscular stress up to full paralysis of the lower body.
ARGININE is an essential amino acid and component in the urine circulation in the body. Both young and older cats require arginine. If this substance is lacking, ammonia concentration in the blood set in, which can be connected to salivation, vomiting, shivering, convulsions, unconsciousness and death within a short time and is often confused with the animal being poisoned.
TAURINE is also an essential amino-sulfonic acid, the intake of which is necessary for nutrition. Cats can only generate the required bile acids with a sufficient supply of taurine. Furthermore, the taurine intake needs to be increased with the increasing intake of fiber in the feed.
A taurine deficiency ca lead to impaired fertility. The young of mothers' with a taurine deficiency exhibit multiple neurological defects, eye defects and blindness.
