Product description

NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt is an electrolyte mixture specifically designed to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in reptiles. The body fluid in reptiles consists mainly of water and certain salts - electrolytes. Electrolytes are minerals that are electrically charged once they are dissolved in a liquid. The most important electrolytes in the body include the positively charged cations sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, as well as the negatively charged anions chloride, bicarbonate, and phosphate.

These electrolytes aid in the regeneration of nerve and muscle function and help maintain acid-base balance and water balance. Many reptiles suffer from chronic dehydration, caused by dry living conditions, inadequate drinking, low fluid intake, or illness-related fluid losses due to diarrhea or blood loss. Various types of dehydration lead to the loss of not only water but also electrolytes.

Use:

NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt can be used either for bathing or added to drinking water.

For bathing:

1g of NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt to 100 ml water (8 level measuring spoons or 1.5 teaspoons per 1 liter of water), once a week. For severely dehydrated animals, the dosage is 1.5g to 100 ml water (11.5 level measuring spoons or 2 teaspoons per 1 liter of water). Bathing can be done 2 to 3 times a week.

One level measuring spoon (enclosed) corresponds to 1.3g of NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt.

Add NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt to the water and thoroughly mix until the electrolyte mixture is completely dissolved (this process may take up to 5 minutes). Check the water temperature. Ensure that the water does not get into the animal's face.

As a drinking solution:

Dissolve 1g of NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt in 100 ml of water; once a week.

An application is especially recommended before and after transportation and after illnesses.

Dissolve in water

Significant water and electrolyte losses should be quickly replenished, as imbalances in the body‘s water and electrolyte balance can lead to health problems. Special electrolyte solutions are used for this purpose. Unlike mammals, reptiles can absorb water through their skin. Through baths, they absorb fluids and electrolytes dissolved in the water, this maintaining their fluid and electrolyte supply.

NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt contains essential electrolytes that balance fluid and electrolyte levels. This helps reptiles quickly recover and regenerate after a loss of moisture. NEKTON-Rep Elektrolyt has an electrolyte content similar to that of bodily fl uids, allowing it to be quickly absorbed and utilized by the organism.
